Staff Accountant II (Full-time): Accounting/Admin
This position is responsible for the Accounts receivables, revenue posting and other accounting functions
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of education or experience equal to the following:
- Bachelors degree in Business and/or Accounting
- Excellent communication skills
- Five-eight years experience in an accounting department
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and Collections, especially healthcare.
- Significant experience with computers and software with special emphasis in the Windows environments and the ability to quickly learn new software packages.

Residential Specialist (Full-time-Overnight): Phoenix (Bilingual-Spanish preferred)
Responsible for maintaining smooth operation of house through Resident Community Structure. Duties include, but not limited to:
- Remain awake throughout shift and makes hourly bed checks of all clients. Use Bed Checklist and note times of rounds.
- Insures that “lights out” rules are followed
- Confronts inappropriate client behavior and documents intervention
- Responds to medical/psychiatric/behavioral emergencies in appropriate manner and contacts supervisor, Program Director as needed. Call 911 or employ Taxi Voucher Procedure in non emergencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of education or experience equal to the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting preferred
- Knowledge of chemical addiction treatment and of 12 Step recovery process preferred
- Must be able to read and write English
- Valid drivers license and safe driving record

Residential Specialist (Full-Time): Boys Recovery Lodge
Residential Specialists are needed to plan and execute client activities, who may be adults, adolescents, or women w/children, interpret intake processes and participate in ensuring personal program needs are met. Will also help maintain drug-free environment, provide life skills/resident life training and 12-step education. Other responsibilities include monitoring/documenting intervention and responding to medical/psychiatric/behavioral emergencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in substance abuse treatment setting
- Knowledge of chemical addiction treatment and 12-Step recovery process
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population
- Computer skills

Residential Coordinator (Full-Time): Boys Recovery Lodge
This position is responsible for maintaining smooth function of house through supervision of Residential staff and Resident Community Structure position assures adequate and appropriate staff coverage of evening shift. Position maintains urine and search, monitors client fund procedures, addresses client issues and oversees weekend transportation as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: (Minimum education and experience needed to perform the job adequately)
Any combination of education or experience equal to the following:
- Associates degree in human services field or equivalent years working in residential addiction treatment field.
- Certification as a substance abuse counselor (CSAC-A, CAC, CSAC) or able to obtain within
- one (1) year.
- Supervisory experience in the addiction field or comparable setting
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, Medication Assistance and Food Sanitation a plus
- Knowledge of recreation therapy, family therapy and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with 12-step recovery programs
- Computer skills

Residential Specialist (Part-time/24 hrs bi-weekly): Independence House
This position will plan and execute client activities, interpret intake processes, and participate in ensuring personal program needs are met. Will also help maintain drug-free environment, provide life skills/resident life training and 12-step education. Other responsibilities include monitoring/documenting intervention and responding to medical/psychiatric/behavioral emergencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in substance abuse treatment setting
- Knowledge of chemical addiction treatment and 12-Step recovery process
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population
- Computer skills

Admissions Manager (Part-time)
Reports to: Director of Clinical Operations
This position conducts clinical assessments in order to determine placement in Vanguard programs and to Market programs in order to increase occupancy of fee for service programs.
Minimum Qualifications: (Minimum education and experience needed to perform the job adequately.)
- Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as LPC, LCSW, or certified in the Commonwealth as a substance abuse counselor (or equivalent licensure/certification from another state)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a treatment or marketing setting or in a closely related field
- Knowledgeable of the medical aspects of addiction, including dual diagnosis, and must have excellent assessment skills

- Demeter, Nuevo Dia (Bilingual), Phoenix (Bilingual preferred), Boys Recovery Lodge, Girls Recovery Lodge
